Murfreesboro Police noticed a vehicle being driven by a subject who had active warrants and attempted to make a traffic stop on Medical Center Parkway, but when the driver allegedly sped up in what looked to be an attempt to lead police on a chase, the traffic stop was cancelled. Minutes later police found that the car wrecked on Elliott Drive at Hamilton Drive.

After the accident, the three subjects who were originally in the car fled the scene on foot. In doing so, the driver failed to render aid to the motorist who was struck.
