(Murfreesboro) For those without food during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are food sources available in Rutherford County.

"Meals 4 Hearts" in Murfreesboro has a goal of offsetting the hunger pains by focusing on the elderly and students impacted by social distancing. The program is a collaboration between Murfreesboro Muslim Youth, Community Helpers of Rutherford County and Nourish Food Bank.

A warm meal will be distributed daily between 11 AM and 3 PM at Nourish Food Bank (1809 Memorial Blvd in Murfreesboro). The "to go" lunches will be handed out while supplies last.

The Murfreesboro Muslim Youth group will also deliver meals to those who cannot leave their home. A fixed list provided by partnering organizations will allow those in need to receive warm meals at their doorstep. To be added to the list, email MurfreesboroMuslimYouth@gmail.com.

Meals are being delivered within a 5 mile radius of the downtown Murfreesboro area.
