A robbery was reported at the University Center Market at 1156 East Main Street in Murfreesboro on Monday night. The University Center Market is the convenience store located at the corner of East Main and Middle Tennessee Boulevard that was once called the Davis Market. The clerk told police that a black male entered the store just after 10:00 on Monday night and demanded money. The culprit had his hands under his shirt to make it appear as if he had a weapon. The subject had his face covered with a green bandanna.

Police were called to the store seconds after the subject fled the building on foot. During an investigation of the robbery, police recovered latex gloves and a hoodie that were believed to have been used in the hold up. The gloves and hoodie were on the west side of the building a short distance away.

As of Tuesday afternoon, an arrest has not been made.
