Fraud: Local Man Had Card Taken Out in His Name

In an effort to keep you vigilant on local fraud activity, a reminder to check your mail for bills in your name.

A 62-year old Manderlay Way man reported to Murfreesboro Police he received a bill for a Home Depot credit card. The problem is, he's never had such a card.

An unknown subject opened an account in the victim's name and racked up over five-thousand dollars worth of charges. The card was opened December 30th and charges were made on six different dates in January.


The victim was told to cancel the account and report the fraud to Citi Financial, which oversees Home Depot credit card accounts.
