The Smyrna Goodwill store on South Lowry Street will reopen on June 27th.

The store closed late last year for a massive renovation project. The space, which used to be two stories, is now all on one level and is 50 percent bigger. The new store features a furniture section and a shoe department. There is also a covered drive-thru for donations on the side of the store.

More than 80 percent of the revenue from the sale of donated items funds our mission of providing employment and training opportunities to people who have disabilities and others who have trouble finding and keeping jobs.

A ribbon cutting will take place at 8:45 a.m. on June 27, and doors will open to the public at 9 a.m. The grand reopening celebration will continue throughout the weekend with Goodwill gift card giveaways.

Don’t forget your donations! Goodwill’s new covered drive-thru located next to the store makes it easy for you to donate.
