An aggravated robbery that took place in the 1000 block of Peachtree Street in Murfreesboro is under investigation. The home invasion unfolded this past Saturday night (9/2/17) at 9:00PM.

The victims told authorities that two masked men forced their way into the front door of their home and assaulted them. One of the two robbers was armed with a silver handgun, according to the three roommates who live at the address.

Prior to fleeing the home, the two masked men got away with both cash and jewelry. The men ran from the home heading towards Grigg Avenue and Greenhill Street.

Detectives were called to the scene where they used a K9 to track the two men to Grigg Avenue, where the scent was lost. It is unknown if the men had a getaway car waiting for them on Grigg.

The case is still open.
