(MURFREESBORO/SMYRNA TN)  The Slick Pig on Main Street in Murfreesboro has become a tradition, in fact last week they celebrated a quarter of a century in business. On Friday (7/10/2020) the Robinson family hosted a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting in Smyrna at 1303 Plaza Drive, just off N. Lowry Street--behind Tractor Supply and the Middle Tennessee Electric building.

Matt Nelson and his family are there to extend a Southern welcome. CLICK HERE for more information on the Smyrna location.

The Slick Pig was born with a family's love for each other, barbecue and this community.

It started back in 1995 when John, Jerry and Teresa Robinson were in Georgia and discovered their passion for barbecue. John and his parents moved back to Murfreesboro to share this love with Jerry’s hometown.

The original Slick Pig is located in the historic building that formally housed East Main market which was an iconic neighborhood corner store at 1920 East Main Street, near MTSU.

Now the Pig's favorites are establishing a strong following in the Smyrna area.
