In Antioch, arrest warrants charging two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular assault, driving without a license and no proof of insurance have been issued against Jose Damaso-Hernandez, 23, for Sunday morning’s (12:40 a.m.) head-on collision between a Scion sedan and a Ford F-150 pickup truck on Bell Road near Brookview Estates Drive. Two people in the Scion, Dalton Williams, 21, and Samantha Peevyhouse, 25, both of Centerville, were killed.

The investigation shows that the 2016 Scion was traveling west on Bell Road and had just passed Brook View Estates Drive when the eastbound 2007 Ford pickup truck, driven by Damaso-Hernandez, crossed into the car’s path and collided with it head-on. Damaso-Hernandez, who was critically injured, remains hospitalized and will be arrested upon his discharge. His blood alcohol content was measured at .14%.

Damaso-Hernandez’s adult passenger and owner of the pickup truck, Sadia Bonnilla-Gomez, 21, is also being sought on arrest warrants charging two counts of vehicular homicide and aggravated child abuse. She reported that she knew Damaso-Hernandez had been drinking alcohol prior to the crash. Additionally, a five-year-old girl in the pickup truck was in a child safety seat, but it was not secured. The child received minor injuries. Bonnilla-Gomez was treated and released.
