An accident on Interstate 24 at mile marker 86, 2 miles past the Joe B. Jackson interchange has left one man dead. The wreck occurred earlier this week on August 19, 2020.

Shawn Goodbar of Murfreesboro was driving a 1998 Ford Expedition when the rear drivers side tire ran off the roadway. A Tennessee Highway Patrol report shows that Goodbar overcorrected, which is when the SUV lost control and flipped.

42 Year old Goodbar died in the accident. The first Trooper on the scene reported that he was not wearing a safety belt.
