UH-OH: Theft of Toilet Paper Begins in Murfreesboro

Toilet paper during the current pandemic is evidently a hotter item than most people realized. Apparently, police in Murfreesboro are on the lookout for two toilet paper thieves.Murfreesboro Police report that detectives need assistance in identifying two individuals who took several packages of toilet paper from the Kroger store on Middle Tennessee Blvd.

After the heist, the duo left the store without paying for the sacred paper on November 24, 2020. The individuals fled by way of the old Fred's store parking lot where loss prevention lost sight of them.

Sadly, the two will not be able to wipe away their tears as the toilet paper was later recovered from a trash can outside the old Fred's building.

In case you can identify the subjects behind the heist, WGNS was told by MPD that prior to the theft they were dropped off at the front door of the Kroger store in what appeared to be a newer model car – no make and model is available, but we are told it was a silver car with four doors.
