UPDATE: We have more news on the vehicle that drove directly into and through one of the main buildings at the Rutherford County Agriculture Extension office on John R Rice Blvd in Murfreesboro...

That was Extension Agent Mitchel Mote who told WGNS that a water line was also broken in the collision, causing water damage on top of the structural damage.

As of Thursday morning at Lane Agri-Park...



Murfreesboro Police told WGNS that the driver who drove into the structure did so in an alleged attempt to take his own life. The collision caused extensive structural and cosmetic damage to the building.

A suicide note was obtained from the man who was driving the vehicle and logged into evidence. MPD report the driver suffered injuries from the crash and was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
