Agencies Work Together to Protect Children and Arrest Child Abusers

Murfreesboro — “The agencies in Rutherford County have a rich history of working together to protect children in our community,” said Child Advocacy Center Director Sharon De Boer.   

Friday, November 19th concluded the 19 Days of Activism for the Prevention of Violence Against Children and Youth.  Members of the Child Protective Investigative Team came together for a virtual flag raising to celebrate the end of the 19 Days of Activism.

Each of the Child Protective Investigative Team members shared in the video how their agencies work with the multidisciplinary team to respond to child abuse cases, protect children, investigate the crime, prosecute offenders, help children heal from the trauma, and help families rebuild their shattered lives.

From November 1-19, 2021, the Child Advocacy Center partnered with local agencies to increase awareness about child abuse.  This year’s campaign utilized social media to bring awareness to topics pertaining to violence against children and youth.
