Using your personal driver's license to return items that were stolen from a store is a bad idea.

Murfreesboro Police were called to the Hobby Lobby on Old Fort Parkway in reference to a theft on Monday. Once at the store, police learned that employees witnessed a female enter the store, steal several items valued at about $60 and then leave. Later in the day an employee at the store witnessed the same woman driving a silver Volvo with a temporary tag pull into the parking lot and drop a male off at the front door.

The male who was in the vehicle with the female subject returned the items that were believed to be stolen earlier in the day. To make the return without a receipt, the culprit used his driver's license. In other words, the man gave his full name and license number to workers at Hobby Lobby. That information was then handed over to police.

At this point, an arrest has not been made.
