A gallon sized zip lock bag of marijuana was recovered by Murfreesboro Police during a traffic stop. Police initially made the traffic stop because the passenger was not wearing a safety belt. After the car pulled over, the officer stepped to the car window and reported that he could smell marijuana. During questioning, 19-year old Haylan DeShan Young allegedly told Officer Troutman that he smokes marijuana, but doesn’t sell it. Shortly after that statement was made, police found the gallon sized zip lock bag.

The report stated that the bag was a quarter of the way full of marijuana. The report also stated a passenger in the car told police that the suspect sells marijuana and that he recently lost his job.
