Massive Heart Attack takes Vicki Taylor

(MURFREESBORO) The executive assistant to the past four Rutherford County mayors died of a massive heart attack Monday (7/22/2019) evening. 59-year old Vicki Taylor had been hospitalized as the result of a stroke, but she had been released.

She had been a part of Rutherford County government for over 35-years. In fact, she was the executive assistant for John Mankin, Nancy Allen, Ernest Burgess and now Bill Ketron.


The Rutherford County Courthouse will close at 1:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon to allow government employees to attend Mrs. Taylor's funeral.

Murfreesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services (145 Innsbrooke Blvd. at South Church St.) is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday (7/24/2019) from 4:00 to 8:00PM, and services will be at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon (7/25/2019). CLICK HERE to read the entire obituary.
