Southern Rock Restaurants, LLC is opening the doors to its newest McAlister's Deli in Murfreesboro at 2357 Medical Center Parkway on Monday (November 12) at 10:30 a.m. Known for its genuine hospitality, McAlister's is home to handcrafted sandwiches, always-fresh salads, giant stuffed spuds, and McAlister's Famous Sweet Tea.

The Medical Center Parkway McAlister's will be the second area restaurant for Southern Rock Restaurants, LLC and its 82nd location. Southern Rock Restaurants owns and operates McAlister's restaurants throughout Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois and Ohio.

"We love Murfreesboro and are so happy to let our guests know that the service they have come to expect for the past two decades from McAlister's Deli will now be available in two convenient locations," said David Blackburn, CEO for Southern Rock Restaurants. "Our newest location on Medical Center Parkway will be led by Murfreesboro local, Keith Mooneyham. We are thrilled to expand our footprint in this great community."

A special ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m., and the first 82 guests in line before the doors open at 10:30 a.m. will receive free tea for a year (one tea per week). Additionally, McAlister's in Murfreesboro will host a family celebration in the evening from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. The first 82 kids at this special event will get a free kids meal certificate. The festivities include face painting and balloon twisters.
