Many have been praying for Siegel senior McKenna Johnson. Her grandfather, Butch Campbell, reports she passed away this (Friday) morning at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.  Robert Rickman reports.

VERBATIM:  She had been in the hospital for the past three weeks, battling a lung infection.

Johnson, who was set to graduate from Siegel this year, was in the hospital at the time of the ceremonies and wasn't able to participate.

She is described on Facebook by her friends as a caring and compassionate young lady who obviously loved horses.

Campbell, the former principal at Walter Hill Elementary and current Murfreesboro City School Board member, wants to thank the community for their prayers and asked they continue to lift up the family.
