More reports of counterfeit money have funneled into the local police department this week. The most recent report was taken by Murfreesboro Officer Michael Rickard on Tuesday afternoon.

The report, similar to previous reports filed by local fast food eateries, suggested that the culprit entered the Kangaroo gas station on South Rutherford Boulevard and made two separate purchases with fake $20 bills. The incident was caught on a surveillance video camera inside the store.

The police report shows that the suspect is a black male standing about 5 foot 5 inches tall. He was described to have a mustache and was possibly in his mid-twenties. He was wearing a black Adidas hat and white tennis shoes. He was also wearing a red shirt with gray sweatpants.

At this point, no arrests have been made in the recent rash of individuals using counterfeit cash in Rutherford County.
