Murfreesboro Police headed to an address on Hunt Street for a drug investigation. A knock on the door by officers was opened by 30-year old Joe Waters Jr. Waters gave police permission to enter, according to an arrest report filed on Thursday.
Once inside a search uncovered five individual baggies of cocaine. Lortab, Xanex and Percocet pills were also located on a bed for which waters did not have a prescription for. A cut straw with cocaine residue was also found on top of a TV stand along with a bag of marijuana next to a bed. Multiple empty baggies with cocaine residue inside of them were also found. The drugs and several hundred dollars in cash were seized by Vice officers.
The officer who filed the report wrote, "Mr. Waters admitted that he sold a little bit to support his habit." As a result of that so called habit, he was arrested and charged with the manufacturing or sale of a schedule II drug. He was also charged with simple possession of a schedule 2, 3, and 4 drug. To make matters worse for Waters, when he was arrested on Thursday he was currently out on bond for three previous felony drug charges that he has not yet been to court for.
Waters is scheduled to face the most recent charges this November. At this point, Waters has not made bond and is being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
