A Murfreesboro Police Officer says that he actually witnessed a man wreck his car and run from the scene of the accident. Later in the day, the registered owner of the car reported his vehicle as stolen. The officer who witnessed the wreck looked up the drivers license number of the registered owner and realized it was allegedly the same person who wrecked the car on Indian Park Drive and then run from the crash site.

Police later obtained a warrant for the arrest of Paul B. Goff. The 25-year old was picked up and charged with filing a false report and leaving the scene of an accident. He will face the charges in court on January 7, 2014.
