Edwards is frequently a featured soloist with the Navy Band. The 1996 Oakland High School graduate went to college at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville and got his masters at Indiana University. He's currently stationed in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two children. His parents are Roland and Kathy Edwards.

He's also performed in the previous two Barak Obama inaugurations. The U.S. Navy Concert Band will also perform at many of the inaugural balls that will take place Friday. The band tours the country each year as well.
