Murfreesboro Slows to One Feeding Time Daily to SLow COVID-19 Spread

As a recommendation from the state, the Murfreesboro City Schools CHOW bus that serves lunch and breakfast to school aged children, will only be serving once daily...

That was Lisa Trail, spokesperson for the Murfreesboro City Schools.

The new schedule started this week (April 6, 2020). The bus will continue to serve food all month on the new once daily schedule. Meal distribution starts at 10:40 each day, depending on the location. You can see a complete CHOW bus schedule HERE.

As a reminder, they will not be feeding on the buses, they will be distributing meals as pick up and go options.



The Food Service Program is funded by the USDA and is open to any child birth to eighteen.

The following 10 sites will offer both breakfast and lunch (pre-bagged) from 8-10 a.m.:

Kittrell Elementary
LaVergne Lake Elementary
Oakland High
Riverdale High

Smyrna Middle
Stewartsboro Elementary
Whitworth-Buchanan Middle

The expanded 16 sites will offer hot food from 8-9 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon daily:
