The new $40 million Smyrna Nissan facility will be open by January of 2017. The new structure is part of a partnership with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology.

State Representative Mike Sparks of Smyrna said, "This center represents the largest single Investment to the Town of Smyrna since the inception of the Nissan Assembly Plant. Over 153,000 square feet of education space will certainly change lives, from welding, auto body repair, automotive technology, small engine diesel technology and more."
