WGNS learned from an undisclosed source that two juveniles got into trouble for allegedly buying and/or using illegal drugs. We found that Murfreesboro Police responded to North Highland Avenue near Oakland’s Mansion to investigate why a vehicle was parked in the area at 9:30, Monday night. Evidently police asked the 17-year old driver why she was parked in her parents’ car so late at night on a school night and she was unable to provide a logical explanation. Two males were also with her at the time of the incident. One of the males was 18 and the other 17.

We were able to confirm through police reports that the 18-year old was charged with criminal conspiracy for the sale of a schedule VI drug (marijuana), two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. The 18-year old allegedly admitted to selling marijuana.

The parents of the juveniles were contacted and told they could pick their children up at a later date from the Juvenile Detention Center. Information regarding the teens cannot be reported due to their age.

The case will have to go before Judge Donna Scott Davenport later this week.
