Oakland avenged their only two losses in two-years with a quarterfinal win over rival Blackman 20-to-9 at the Inferno. Blackman scored first Friday night, but Oakland came back with a touchdown of their own in the second quarter. A missed extra point had the Pats trailing 7-6 at the half. To open the second half, Oakland took the ball 80-yards and took the lead on this play...

Oakland, who took over at the one-yard line, was unable to move the ball and gave up a safety for the final score of 20-to-9.

The game was plagued by nearly 250-yards of penalties for both teams and Oakland cornerback Kevin Prather was ejected after two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the first drive of the game. He'll be forced to miss next week's semifinal game.

The Blaze season ends at 11-and-2 while Oakland improves to 12-and-1 and will host undefeated defending state champion Maryville next Friday night at Ray Hughes Stadium.
