The 2015 TSSAA State Girls' Soccer Championships will take place this week at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro. The action gets underway on Wednesday, Oct. 28, and champions are crowned Saturday, Oct. 31.
This event brings in 600 athletes and more than 4,000 spectators to Rutherford County. A total of 24 Division I and II teams in four different classes will vie for the title of state champions. The Girls' Soccer tournament has been hosted in Murfreesboro since 2013.
"We are pleased to once again host the TSSAA Girls' Soccer Championships," said Barbara Wolke, vice president of the Rutherford County Convention and Visitors Bureau. "The fields at Siegel Soccer Complex are first-rate and will showcase Murfreesboro to athletes from across the state."
Admission is $10 per person. There are 16 games from Wednesday through Friday. Parking will be free during the quarterfinal and semifinal games. A parking fee of $5 per car will be charged during the championship games on Saturday, Oct. 31.
