We have an update on the new hotel, retail and office development that will soon be built in downtown Murfreesboro that will cover an entire city block. But, how will parking look for such a large lifestyle center when parking is already a highly discussed issue around the local square?

The new structure that will also include condominiums, will be built on the grounds of the old First Methodist Church, as reported in the past.

One question that has arisen revolves around parking, because currently there is OPEN city parking available to those who visit the area around the local square. The city lot is behind the church structure and fronts North Spring Street. City Manager Craig Tindall stated...

The $65 million dollar development, that received a $6 million economic development subsidy or a tax rebate, should be complete by mid 2022. The development company formed to build the lifestyle center was named One East College, LLC, as the property sits at the intersection of East College and North Church Streets.
