Planning / Attending Funerals during COVID-19 Pandemic in Tennessee

During the changing times, multiple businesses are seeing a big change in how everything is done. Funeral homes are one of the businesses that have been hit with an impact that saddens not only the funeral home, but also local families.

That was Shannon Parsons with Woodfin Funeral Chapels in Murfreesboro and Smyrna.

Chad Haynes with Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home and Cremation commented...



Both Parsons and Haynes told WGNS that it is sometimes hard to have less than 10-people in office who are immediate family of the deceased during the planning stages of a funeral.

During this time period, a lot of families are having a small graveside service and scheduling a memorial service for a later date.

Unfortunately, there is no simple answer on planning funerals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
