A 31-year old Murfreesboro man has been charged for the 9th time with Driving on a Revoked License. Jason J. Wimberly was pulled over on East Northfield Boulevard because his car matched the description of a vehicle that had recently been used in an attempted car jacking, according to a police report.

When Officer Frost approached the car being operated by Wimberly, the smell of marijuana was said to be present. Police also found an open container of beer in the BMW. A search of the car revealed 1.1 ounces of marijuana.

During the stop it was learned that the 31-year old had eight prior “Driving on a Revoked” license charges, this stop would make for charge number nine. Wimberly was also booked on felony drug possession charges and with violation of an open container. As far as the attempted car jacking incident as noted in the M-P-D Arrest Report, no charges have been filed.
