Redeemer Classical Academy in Murfreesboro boasts logic, reasoning, manners, and eloquence

Aug 21, 2015 at 11:47 am by Bryan Barrett

Local Murfreesboro private school, Redeemer Classical Academy, recently hosted Association of Classical Christian Schools President David Goodwin at their campus on Monday, Aug. 17.

Goodwin spent the morning touring the school and visiting with members of the Redeemer Classical Academy board of directors, staff and students, as well.

Regarding the overall atmosphere and experience while visiting, Goodwin says RCA clearly understands the classical Christian vision, and it shows in the classroom.

"During my visit, I came to appreciate the special environment that is only possible when teachers love their students, love God and love their subject. Schools like RCA benefit from small classes where teachers and students connect at a level not possible in larger classes. The evidence of selfless and principled leadership at RCA is very encouraging," Goodwin said.

Redeemer Classical Academy differs from other local private schools in its curriculum as it embraces the classical Christian school model.

"Between the ages of 5 years old and 17 years old, most of us develop what we love and how we think. Music, art, and literature can be great, or they can be forgotten and lost in the souls of our kids. Logic, reasoning, manners, and eloquence can be fostered, or they can be undeveloped," Goodwin noted about the advantages of a classical Christian education.

In turn, Redeemer Classical Academy appreciates the visit of Mr. Goodwin. Members of the RCA community understand their role in the classical Christian education process and welcome his words of admiration and encouragement for their growing school.

"As an educator, it is always great to have someone like Mr. Goodwin visit our campus and see how the school operates on a day-to-day basis. We were glad to welcome him and deeply appreciate the work he does with the Association of Classical Christian Schools on behalf of RCA and other member schools," Redeemer Classical Academy Administrating Instructor Amanda Bell said.

Redeemer Classical Academy was established in the summer of 2013 and is a Christ centered classical school serving students in kindergarten through twelfth grade and their families. For more information, visit redeemerclassicalacademy.com.
