A special police watch was placed on a local business after it was robbed of lottery tickets last week (9/13/18).

According to an incident report outlining the details of what happened... a man entered King Tobacco on South Church Street and told the clerk that he had just won $600 and wanted to spend it on more lottery tickets. When the employee got the tickets out, the man evidently grabbed the tickets off the counter. The victim said the man stated, "If she called anyone he would come back and hurt her and her child."

The unknown culprit got away with about $3,600 in lottery tickets. He fled the store on foot and has not been apprehended.
