Robert Macon, the grandson of Uncle Dave Macon, passed away over the weekend. He was a longtime supporter of Uncle Dave Macon Days, the Macon-Doubler Fellowship and traditional southern music and dance. Robert's brother and sister-in-law, David "Ramsey" Macon and Edna Macon, along with the late Jesse Messick were the founders of Uncle Dave Macon Days. Funeral services will be held in Nashville at the Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Thompson Lane in Nashville. Mike Doubler, a member of the Uncle Dave Macon Day Committee and nephew of Robert will be offering a eulogy at the funeral.
