Roy Waldron Elementary was placed on lockdown after what the school system calls a minor gas leak is repaired.

It comes just a day after Blackman High School was evacuated due to a faulty valve in a classroom.

Rutherford County Schools spokesman James Evans tells NewsRadio WGNS the La Vergne school was locked down around 11:30am. That meant students stayed within their classrooms until the situation is resolved. Areas close to where the repairs were done was restricted as well.
