Tim Rudd won the approval of Republicans in State House District 34 in a race to determine who replaces Representative Rick Womick. He received nearly 45-percent of the vote to attorney Jimmy Turner's 31-percent. Rudd says Tennessee is doing a lot of things right and he wants to make sure it stays that way...

Rudd will face former Rutherford County Circuit Court Clerk Laura Bohling in the November 8th general election. She ran for the Democratic nomination unopposed. Womick did not seek re-election to the state House and endorses Rudd.
