Around high noon on Monday, Rutherford County Schools announced that they would re-open at normal hours this Tuesday (2/26/2019).

Communications and Community Relations Coordinator James Evans said, "Students and teachers, we're ready to get back to it. And are looking forward to seeing you all."

Continuous rainfall created flooded roads, forcing the schools to shutdown.

Evans stressed that the normal schedules will be effective on Tuesday.

The closings also impacted both MTSU and high school basketball games leading to the tournaments. CLICK HERE for an update on when the games are planned.
