(MURFREESBORO) A serious Saturday (3/7/2020) morning crash on Manchester Pike resulted in drivers from both cars being air lifted to Nashville.

Public Information Officer Larry Flowers reported that the two vehicle head-on crash occurred around 7:15 Saturday morning on Manchester Pike between Joe B. Jackson and Red Mile Road.

Murfreesboro Fire Rescue had to extricate one driver. Both were flown by Lifeflight t the Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Flowers said that both are in critical condition.
