Local nonprofit Special Kids and Murfreesboro Medical Clinic & Surgicenter (MMC) announced Thursday the date for the 3rd Annual Special Kids Race to be held on March 22, 2014.

The annual event is one of the largest races in Rutherford County drawing 3,000 participants in its 15K, 5K, and 1 Mile distances combined. MMC will again serve as the presenting sponsor and host for the race at its new location on Garrison Drive in Murfreesboro.

How to Register for Race:

Registration opens on Friday, November 15, 2013. Registration for the 2013 event sold out three weeks prior to race day, and event organizers expect an even earlier sell out day for 2014. Event information and registration can be found online at specialkidsrace.org.

Special Kids is a Christian nonprofit providing rehabilitation and nursing services to children with special needs.
