An alleged shoplifter has been caught, thanks to the watchful eye of a loss prevention worker at Walmart on Memorial Boulevard.
The culprit evidently walked into the store with an empty Drone box and told the front door worker that he was there to return it. The man was given a yellow sticker, marking it for return.
The description of the subject was a little different... he was said to be wearing a full military uniform of some the, but he had a full beard. Of course, a full beard is not normally allowed in the military unless you have some type of medical issue involving your skin that won't allow you to shave. Needless to say, he caught the eye of loss prevention quickly.
According to a police report, the man didn't head to the return counter, he instead found a nice new BB gun and simply took his yellow sticker and placed it on the BB gun box.
After making the sticker transfer, the man reportedly made his way out the front door of the store. Once in the parking lot, a loss prevention worker gave chase, retrieving the BB gun. When the man saw the loss prevention worker on his tail, he left the BB gun behind and jumped into his car for a quick getaway.
While the man got-a-way, the gun didn't.
