Smyrna Police Need Help With 3 Cold Cases

(SMYRNA, TN) Help is needed on three COLD CASES in the northern end of Rutherford County. They occurred in 1985, 1988 and 2014.

Home Burglarized/Woman Killed

The first occurred January 18, 1985 when Smyrna police were summoned to 104 Rebel Road. When they entered the home, it was discovered that a burglary had occurred, plus a Scottish visitor had been murdered.

Elizabeth Shannon died of a gunshot wound.

Man Shot Several Times

Three-years later at 6:00 o'clock on the morning of February 22, 1988, the bullet riddled body of 28-year old Robert "Bobby" Allen was found at 251 N. Lowry Street in Smyrna. It appears that there were no witnesses.

Man Shot and Killed

This is the anniversary of the shooting death of Danny Wright (left photo). On August 7, 2014, Wright was shot and killed at 109 Kings Road in Smyrna. Five years later Smyrna Police Department are still looking for leads.
