Southbranch Nursery Damaged in Storm

Southbranch Nursery on South Church Street sustained heavy damage from Tuesday afternoon storms.

Owner Dean Higbee, who is also co-host of the long-running Rutherford Home Show Saturdays on NewsRadio WGNS, says many of their greenhouses sustained damage. A very large tree next door was uprooted.

He says no one was hurt, for which Higbee says he's very thankful. He says it's the fourth or fifth time since the business has been located there on South Church there has been some type of significant storm damage.

It's one of the busiest times of the year in the nursery business and Higbee says they'll be open for customers.
