Starting at the Franklin Road Christian School campus (3142 Franklin Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37128) on Saturday will be the "Run for Life" race. The run is a short 5k for families in Rutherford County. 

The run serves as an awareness event for conditions in Tennessee that put women at risk with no informed consent, no inspection or regulation of abortion facilities, and no hospitalization requirement for later term abortions.

According to information that WGNS received on Wednesday, all proceeds go to "YES on Amendment 1." Yes on 1 is a bipartisan amendment that passed both the TN house and senate by super majorities and is on November's ballot. Tennessee Right to Life, Family Action of Tennessee, and Yes on 1 are sponsoring this event

Several local politicians will be on hand at the race this Saturday. The race will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday and registration will get underway at 7:45 AM.
