Thanks to tips to police department, two arrests were made

The Smyrna Police Department is thanking the public after locating two wanted subjects from a 2012 crime. Smyrna Police say that in November of 2012, two suspects went into Gil’s Ace Hardware in Smyrna and stole several power tools. Detectives at the Smyrna Police Department received tips from the general public as to the identity of these individuals.

Smyrna Police say that earlier this month 32 year old Raymond E. Davy Jr. and Steven J. Ballard, age 29, both of Murfreesboro, were arrested and charged with Theft over $500. Both individuals pled guilty on January 22nd in General Sessions Court and were placed on 11 months and 29 days of probation. Both men agreed to pay restitution to Gil’s Ace Hardware.
