A man who is currently on Federal Probation was pulled over for a registration violation in Murfreesboro. Once stopped, officers asked if anything illigeal was in his SUV. He responded that he was unsure.

Inside, they found several recently filled prescriprtion bottles that were missing up to 40 painkillers, even though they were filled on the day of the traffic stop. Police say a cell phone in the ride continued to ring. When the police were given permission to answer the call they learned that a man they allegedly just met at a fast food eatery on South Church Street was shorted one pill when he bought 15.

The pills reportedly belonged to passenger Michelle Dempsey who advised that she was "unsure" as to where the missing pills from her pill bottles were. She later changed her tune once at the Sheriff's Office. There she advised, "She trades the pills for other things."

Dempsey, who is 32-years of age and calls Murfreesboro home, was charged with two counts of "The Sale of a Schedule Two Drug" and one count for the "Sale of a Schedule Four Drug."

The driver of the SUV who is on Federal Probation was allowed to leave with only a citation for "Registration Violation."
