THP Involved In 5-Car Crash...Move Over For Emergency Vehicles

(Murfreesboro) Around 2:30 Sunday (7/1/2018) afternoon, a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was enroute to a fatal crash, when his SUV was involved in a five-vehicle crash at the intersection of Mercury Boulevard (John Bragg Highway) and South Rutherford Boulevard. The accident occured at the new gas station that's is near Walmart.

Reports indicate that the trooper and two other individuals were taken to the ER at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

It is believed that traffic at the intersection did not yield to the emergency vehicle with blue lights and siren.


The public is reminded to move over and stop when you hear an emergency vehicle approaching.

The trooper was going to help victims at another crash. Reports indicate there was a fatality at the other wreck.
