Two Missing 12-Year Old Smyrna Girls Found

Citizens helped locate Tabitha Beauchamp and Alexandra Sandlin who reportedly ran away from Smyrna's Rock Springs Elementary School when it dismissed around 3:00 o'clock Thursday (5/23/2019) afternoon.

Almost 6-hours later, citizens notified the Sheriff's Office that they spotted the missing 12-year old girls around 8:40PM in a drainage area on Montgomery Way.

School Resource Officer Ben Baldwin at Rock Springs, the school staff, Smyrna Police and sheriff's deputies and detectives used K9s, drone fly-overs and foot searches for the runaway students.

The Sheriff's Public Information Officer Lisa Marchesoni said, "We rely on our citizens to help find runaway and missing children. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office thanks all the citizens who called in the tips and the media for spreading the word so the students could be located safely."

Have you seen these girls? Tabitha Beauchamp and Alexandra Sandlin apparently ran away around 3:00 o'clock Thursday (5/23/2019) afternoon from Rock Springs Middle School.

Tabitha's hair is fully dyed pink/purple. She is wearing a cream, long-sleeved shirt, blue jean shorts and black sandals with heels.Alexandra wears glasses. She is wearing a black and white horizontal striped shirt, dark jeans and gray boots.

Both girls are 12-years old.

Rutherford County Sheriff's deputies, detectives and School Resource Officers and Smyrna Police are searching for the girls.
