A Republican candidate to replace Bob Corker in the United States Senate has dropped out of the race. Andy Ogles announced last week his intentions. He was the first to throw his hat into the ring, even before Corker announced he was not seeking re-election.

Ogles cited sizable campaign funding advantages held by the other Republicans who have decided to run, Representative Marsha Blackburn and former Representative Stephen Fincher.
