UPDATE: Arrest made in Greenland Drive shooting in Murfreesboro

On Wednesday night (1/24/18), at approximately 6 pm, Murfreesboro Police responded to a shooting call in the 900 block of Greenland Drive. Officers located a young adult male victim at 907 Greenland Drive. He was found to have multiple wounds however he was able to run to the 907 address to seek aid. The shooting had occurred across the street in the parking area of 902 Greenland Drive (Campus Villa Apartments).

Aid was rendered on the scene by Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department personnel prior to the victim being transported by Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services to Vanderbilt Medical center for treatment.

22 Year old Cory Bush, the shooting victim, is currently undergoing treatment at Vanderbilt. He is in critical but stable condition. Investigators arrested Emmett "Trey" Lyons III from an apartment at 902 Greenland Drive. The 21 year old is charged with attempted 1st degree murder and is incarcerated at the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department with a $250,000 bond. Lyons is pictured below.
