The man accused of murdering his wife Carla Pearman on Valentine’s Day in 2013 in the Blackman Community will appear before Judge David Bragg next year.  Jacob Pearman was previously scheduled to appear in court this past March, but in May Judge Bragg scheduled the case for trial on January 12, 2015.

On the day of the murder, Pearman was due in court to face child abuse related charges for the alleged aggravated assault of Carla's son. 30-Year old Pearman allegedly killed Carla early Valentines morning and later turned himself in after a phone call with a Murfreesboro Police Detective.

Pearman has already entered a “Not Guilty” plea to the charge of First Degree Murder, but the trial in 2015 will determine his innocence or guilt.

On Friday of this week (8/1/14), a deadline has been set for any new motions to be filed by the state and defense regarding text messages that may be connected with the murder. After the motions are filed on Friday, a hearing will take place in September. Then, the case will go to trial in January.
