UPDATE: Rutherford's Ready For Tip-Off

(RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN) - The 2020 Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) State Basketball Championships is this week at Murphy Center at Middle Tennessee State University. The TSSAA High School Basketball Championships have been held in Murfreesboro since 1973.

This year's action gets underway this Wednesday, March 11th with the first round of the Girls' tournament, and championship games on Saturday, March 14th. The boys take the court on March 18th, and play for the championship titles on Saturday.

Admission is $10 per day Wednesday - Friday, and $12 on Saturday for the championship. Parking is available at the Greenland Drive lot for $5 per day. More than 70,000 tickets will be sold over the two week tournament, resulting in an estimated $3 million economic impact for Rutherford County.

"It is an honor to host the top basketball players in the state, and the championships are an excellent boost to our economy."
