Past Report Filed Early Feb. 14, 2013:

Early Thursday morning Jacob Pearman, according to a police report, called his mother and said “bye.” Another supplement report filed the same morning shows conflicting information that he texted his mother, and did not actually call her. The report said that Pearman’s mother told officers her son was upset over having to go to court on Thursday morning (2/14/13). Pearman was facing accusations that he had assaulted his wife’s biological son. As a result of the call, police went to the Pearman residence at 839 Kanatak Lane to check the welfare of the Pearman’s.

Once at the house police say they found the garage door open and the door leading into the house unlocked. Police went inside where they found Carla Pearman deceased on her bed. Jacob Pearman was not in the home and police immediately told other departments to be on the lookout for the subject and that he may have a small child with him. Minutes later it was confirmed that the young child was staying with his biological father and was not at home when his mother was murdered.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol found Jacob Pearman in his 2010 Jeep Wrangler at a gas station in Manchester, TN. State Troopers placed Pearman in their custody. Pearman was transported back to Murfreesboro for questioning and by 11:30, Thursday morning, was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center under a charge of first degree murder. Major Adkison told WGNS in an interview (above) that Pearman admitted to the murder.

The "official" cause of Carla Pearman’s death has not been released by police. That information will be gathered by the state’s medical examiner’s office and then released to detectives.

Jacob Pearman worked in Murfreesboro as a personal trainer. He is a body builder. Pearman is being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center without bond on a charge of homicide.

Carla Marie Pearman and Jacob Pearman were married in November of 2012.

839 Kanatak Lane is in the Blackman area, just off Fortress Boulevard in the Indian Creek subdivision. WGNS checked property records and it would appear that the home is likely a rental property. That's because tax information is mailed to an address in Barfield, according to the Rutherford County Property Assessor's website.
